It was a sunny Sunday morning when we caught up with Jennie at her home in Berlin.
Originally from the Philippines, Jennie is a fashion e-commerce professional and a new mom. She is the kind of woman who effortlessly masters the boho-chic look and someone whose closet you would happily raid if given the chance.
So it was no wonder we were thrilled when she agreed to spend the day with us, showing us her favorite pieces and how she would style one of our favorite dresses, the stylish organic cotton and recycled polyester shirt dress, MEHA.
"Sorry for the mess."
I glance around and see that even
her "mess" is somehow stylish.
How does she do that?
Jenny started the day wearing jeans and a tee. Our goal was to find one or two looks for our organic cotton shirt dress, MEHA.
When asked what her thoughts were of the piece, she confessed that at first she was not 100% convinced it would work out.
“It was kind of difficult to come up with outfits for it. At first, I thought it was because of the length - I am used to wearing dresses like this that fall a bit shorter.”
"I was scared it would look like a nightgown!
But actually it's really pretty for Spring and Summer,
and it looks good without doing much."
Look 1: Open with Sandals
Jennie's fist look was simple: she wore the MEHA dress without its belt and with her favorite strappy sandals. "I can see myself wearing this on the weekend for brunch. It's really comfortable. I think I have to wear a slip with this dress so it's not see-through, though." Good tip Jennie.

Look 2: Tied with Metallic Loafers
For a slightly more refined look, Jennie added back the belt and paired the organic cotton shirt dress with silver metallic loafers.

Look 3: Smart with a Cropped Sweater
"I think this look is my favorite" Jennie says as she walks in wearing a cropped gray sweater with the sleeves rolled up over the opened MEHA dress. "I can see myself wearing this to the office." We agree. It's also a great transition look for Spring or early Fall.
Look 4: Chic with Blue Suede Pumps
Anyone who lives in Berlin knows that the opportunities to get dressed up are few and far between. "I have not worn these for years! I miss wearing heels." Jennie adds a pop of color to her look with feminine blue pointy-toe pumps.

So by the early afternoon we had already found four great ways to style a shirt dress and lots of fun playing dress up. Thanks Jennie!
